Motivation – New Directions in Mind

The International Conference on Motivation (ICM) takes place biennially since 1985, at numerous locations across Europe, as a forum for researchers from all over the world to discuss theory, methods, and practical implications in the field of motivation. Following the tradition inaugurated in Landau (2006) and continued in Turku (2008), the Porto Conference is preceded by a Summer School for young researchers interested in topics related to motivation and emotion, where they have the opportunity to present and discuss their investigations with experienced researchers and with peers, as well as to build cooperation, and to develop socially rewarding experiences.
